Who Will Stand By Maryam Bature 

It was really dark, late in the night, everywhere so quiet and calm, everything so cool and peaceful. I decided to lie down and rest, to sleep and relax my soul

Suddenly, I was awaken. I saw Him standing and looking intensely at me. He wasn’t looking happy, His face was sadden and there was no iota of smile on it. He looked so sorrowful, searching for someone to share what is getting Him so worried

Then He motioned to me to follow Him. So curious to get answers as to why He has a gloomy look, I decided to follow Him. We stepped out and everywhere was bright and light was shining everywhere.

Everyone was up and going about with their daily activities. I wanted to ask Him what was going on but He motioned to me to just follow Him and not lose focus

He walked and I followed. We walked into a house, they were really looking happy. But when I looked at a corner, I saw a lady with her children. Looking so sad and unhappy

Then I heard the voice of the other lady, who looked really happy with her family asking the sad lady about some amount of money. But the sad lady answered her saying, the only money she had was taken away by her the night before

So they have no money on them, to even feed her kids she has nothing to do that, but all the other lady could say was, as far as she allows her and the children to stay under her roof after the death of her husband, she will have to pay the wages they placed for her. Not considering how the lady and her kids are coping.

Then suddenly, I saw us at a store where a man sold groceries, and some goons barged into the store and each picked what they wanted and made their way out with it

When He followed them outside and tried to raise an alarm. One of them turned back and looked at him and said to him, even if he raise an alarm, no one will come to your aid because anyone that tries it, will do nothing but put his/herself and family in jeopardy

Again, He took me to a court room where a case was being heard. The accused was not guilty of what he was accused of. All because he was asked to hand over a property that belonged to his family and he refused.

He was framed of stealing a huge amount of money from the company he works at and just because he wasn’t as rich as those that accused him, his family property was ceased from him and given to the rich man who brought the complain

Immediately after that, He took me to a road side where some travelers were looking for their way around the place because they seem to miss the way

So they decided to ask for directions from some passers by but the passers by answered them by saying that they will only give them directions if they will pay for it as that’s their tradition there

Without option, they had to pay in order to get directions so as they could find their way to get to their destination

Finally, He brought me back home and for the first time, He opened His mouth and said “WHO WILL STAND IN THE GAP?” then He disappeared and immediately I knew who He is

He is the Savior, the Almighty, the I am that I am, the Lover of all mankind, the Intercessor, Jesus Christ Himself.

He is looking for someone who will stand in the gap, who will build up the wall and stand in for all those people. Who will close up the bridge between mankind and Him

Someone who will be used to shine His light for mankind to know of His existence, and glorify Him, and worship Him, and serve Him, and make Him Lord and King of our lives

Right there and then, I made up my mind to be someone that will build up the wall and stand before Him.

So my question is, Are you ready?
Will you build up the wall and stand in the gap with me?
