Jackboy Elchapo, born Oluwaseun Odunsi, is a Abuja–Lagos based alternative-Afro singer, rapper, and songwriter. 
Raised in Croc City, Kaduna State, and originally from Ogun State, his musical identity was shaped by early exposure to the sounds of Wizkid, Travis Scott, and Olamide—artists whose influence sparked his deep interest in music. Since beginning his professional journey in 2016, Jackboy has steadily carved out a sound that feels both introspective and aspirational.
His first studio experience came in 2017 through a Christian fellowship during secondary school, a foundation that sharpened his discipline and passion. In 2020, he stepped away to find his own sonic identity, releasing an early EP while learning music production and experimenting with covers—work that laid the groundwork for his evolution. Jackboy’s first official single arrived in 2023 alongside close collaborator Drizzle Vibez, whom he met while studying at Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria. Now stepping confidently into the spotlight, Jackboy Elchapo represents a new wave of alternative Afro artists—fearless in sound, rooted in experience, and poised to leave a lasting mark on Nigeria’s evolving music landscape.
